Steve Mead is an Elite Gym Eagle (14:31)
He trains out of Fitness First in Walsall and has entered 11 X Training events on the WGC database. Some of the closest races ever seen in X Training have been between Steve Mead and Danny Watson and Im sure the Camberely Ice Breaker will have another very close race with only 10 seconds seperating Steve Dowse. |

Steve Dowse is an Elite Gym Eagle (14:42)
His Company Definition Lifestyle and Fitness is extremely successful as a tool for Steve to use his knowledge in motivating others as one of the UK's leading personal trainers.
Last year Steve won the first ever UK's Ultimate Gym Athlete and has entered 13 X Training events on WGC. A firm favourite and very inspirational athlete.

Craig Horsfield is an Elite Gym Eagle (14:39)
A now seasoned X Trainer, entering more then 17 recognised events.
Craig was runner up in Gym Athlete of the Year 2009 and raised money for charity completing four marathons one on each piece of gym equipment (Treadmill, X Trainer, Bike and Rower) and the The London Marathon during Jan, Feb, March and April of last year.

Martin Carter Advanced Gym Eagle (15:04)
Having competed in over 10 WGC events and been involved in X Training for years, Martin has great experience in X Training. Martin trains out Rivers Gym in Worcestershire, with close friend Keith Pocket. A very good cardio and strength base athlete.

Lloyd Millichap Advanced Gym Eagle (15.11)
An amazing feat considering in just 965 days , Lloyd went from 19:41 to his present time, which is 4 mins and 30 seconds quicker.
Lloyd a personal trainer created The Camberley Ice Breaker for clients at Camberley Fitness First and its proving to be a great event for all Gym Athletes of all abilities. Last year the event was piloted to see how improvements could be made and the result is a new course with first time medicine ball sit ups and shuttle runs.

Farouk Vawda Advanced Gym Athlete (16:06)
Again from the Gorton Fitness First camp Farouk has been a lead player in helping between members and staff in organising the first ever X Training Commitee to over sea group co ordination for members wishing to enter events.
A small framed Gym Athlete with trmendous cardio and strength. A real inspiration. |

Mike Jones Advanced Gym Eagle (16:31)
Mike oprganises the infamous Gorton Grueller each year at Gorton Fitness First. He has just reached the Vets Category and is proving to be one of the most professional personal trainers in the country, by getting outstanding results in fitness at his gym, for both friends and clients.

Dan Edge Advanced Gym Eagle (16:31)
Dan cycling skills play a heavy influence in his results as does his close connection with personal trainer and one of the most influential and recognisable figures in X Training Kirk Gibbons.
It's been a while since Dan competed reguarly and he is the first athlete to have a Locked Race (The same recorded WGC result) potential with Mike Jones - Remember Mike is a Vet and Dan a Open competitor (18 - 39) Should be interesting! |

Shabir Darr Advanced Gym Eagle (16:37)
If awards could be awarded for having the best dance moves in X Training then 'Shabz' would win this hands down! However the X Training Gym Athlete of Rochdale still proves to be a very fit individual and has competed in some of the toughest XTraining events in the WGC calendar.

Simon Bellinger Advanced Gym Eagle (16:43)
Simon has entered over 13 events on the WGC database and has his roots very firmly fixed in Luton, where close friends, Nicky Humphrey and Mark Drury, have all been achieving great results in X Training for many years.
He has now switched from Fitness First (Luton) to DW Sports in Luton and maybe it waits to be seen if the new training environment will add to his results this year.

Gary Nicholls Standard Gym Eagle (17:03)
Gary is the' 'Daddy' of the X Training world. An unfortunate mistake at last years Ultimate Gym Athlete, kept Gary's status just above 17 mins, but that will be addressed at the next WGC event and see Gary get his Advanced Status.
Make no mistake this is one of the fittest Vet Gym Athletes the country has ever produced and is an outstanding ambassador for the sport and respected by everyone who competes. |

Olivier Jacquet Standard Gym Eagle (17:43)
Olivier is one of the greatest achievers in the sport of X Training .Guided by personal trainer Lloyd Millichap , Olivier has managed to bring his World Gym Challenge time to 17:43 from 20:57.
The great aspect of X Training is that it's very versatile and fun. Olivier will be racing close friend and personal trainer Lloyd Millichap in a Time Delayed Race (TDR) , which means that Olivier (based on a pre submitted time) will race Lloyd by the differential in results, Roughly a two minute lead. A great way to the start the race and day! |

Gill Watson (Ungraded WGC)
Gill is a born adventure racer, competing all over the world.
In terms of fitness and inspiration Gill is very hard to beat. The first ever woman to win TV's SAS Are you Tough Enough (jungle version) and a leading light in the fitness world for women.

Trudi Hawksworth (Ungraded WGC)
Trudi has competed in over 20 recognised X Training WGC events (the most by any female) and her strength in the bench press is almost legendry.
It being a Gym Based Sport, LA Fitness surely realise they have one of the best female gym athletes in the country ? Or do they know Trudi is such a quality athlete?

Rebecca Nicholas (Ungraded WGC)
Becky Nichlolas trains out of Calso Gym in Kent - The most famous independent X Training Gym in the UK. Many tough and exciting races between the top women in the sport have been between Becky and the top seeded women and if she races Trudi - another cracker is almost guaranteed.
Becky is also a Personal Trainer and has completed many events for charity, including a blistering marathon row.

Richard Vint (Ungraded WGC)
There is little doubt in peoples mind about what an incredible discovery Richard is for the sport of X Training. A formidable runner and a great strength athlete too makes Richard, who is a serving policeman something of a major achiever in X Training.
If Richard is fully recovered from his achilles op of last year - he will definitely be someone to watch out for in this race. |
