What did you enjoy most about the set up of this event ?

I enjoy the atmosphere of competing and comparing myself to other like minded people who love fitness and are knowledgeable in the subject.

How has your training been in the lead up to this event?

My training has been ok, I suffered from a case of Rabdo back along which put a stop to things for a while but got back on track quite quickly after.

What would you say about the new additions - bag throw etc

New additions are vital to the sport to keep people interested and attract new comers.

What did you think about the growth of the Intermediate section?

I am always happy to see new faces at competitions, even if they are just local people it is good to see people getting involved.

Who did you see that stood out ?

People that have always stood out for me since starting XT are Liam Florey, Alex Wood and Sanny Taylor. To be at the top of the game for that long is inspirational and have welcomed me and all others into the sport with open arms. The hospitality of these top boys keeps the sport going.

What about XT makes you want to train at the gym ?

I do rotations in my training, Post competition I will work hard on my basic aerobic capacity and Pure strength with deadlifts, squats, bench etc. but leading up to competition gives me a chance to put all aspects into practice.

If you could say to other gyms why they should incorporate a XT programme in their gym - what would you say ?

Many people moan that they don't have time to train or they don't enjoy just running or weights. XT gives you an opportunity to cover a great amount of fitness components in a short space of time. Some XT sessions I have done are only 10 mins long but put me deep inside the locker (with the door shut an lights of) I love that place tho.

Why do you think the Advanced Women numbers are low ?

Because I women don't like to be judge and if in competition with other women they feel they will be, however if we could show them how friendly and welcoming everybody is numbers would increase.

Whats next?

Next on my calendar is some good motorbike racing.
