Introduction by WGC
What a cracking read! A lot of passion - one of the guys who loves this sport has spoken from the heart. Which is ironic as a strong heart is an absolute must when you are at the level of Steve. Having Paul Morton to train with is a great incentive to train hard and Steve is really lucky that someone else trains at his gym and can push him.

Acheivements...

Played football for aston villa from school
Won a few 10k runs
Had a few good placings in bike races (road bike)

Qualifications...

Qualified driving instructor
Currently training to be landscape gardener

How long have you been X-Training?
I started in feb this year with a session going through the intermediate ironman in my gym.  I thought STREWTH that;s painful man.

Why do you find X-Training so exciting?
It's the feeling when it;s over wether it be training or a race day, I feel like a KING. From pure pain to total ecstacy.

I'm not a personal trainer anymore but what i do do is slip in the suttle would you like a GO to the dudes in the gym. the usual response is NO YOUR ALRIGHT MATE. THEY DON;T KNOW WHAT THERE MISSING. I encourage anybody to have a bash.it;s wicked all over fitness.

What are their views on X-Training?
It's the total package. What does bother me is that with all the training you have to do you can get side tracked in a race by a judgeing decision which costs you big style. But if it's a fair decision no worries.

Who has been your biggest influence in X-Training?
My training partner is is Paul Morton. He got me started and has helped me every inch of the way.We have some brutal sessions together.i get on the treadmill next to him and think IT;S SUFFER TIME AGAIN. I also get influenced by the fact that i;m involved in a sport with top athletes with the abillity to take the pain AND SOME.

How often do you train?
I Train on feel. if i;m really tired i don;t. if i feel a little tired then i;ll do an easier session.if i feel good i;ll go hard. But generally it;s six days a week from anything to 20mins to an hour and an half a session
