Introduction By WGC

Sarah entered Fitness Extreme as a relative outsider, if last years times were anything to go by. But when you look at the splits you suddenly realise that Sarah has achieved much by beating Becky Nicholas time (last years Grand Prix female Winner) and now must be wondering if the sport has suddenly found itself a very accomplished X Trainer that can take on the best female X Trainers out there. I certainly hope so.

If Sarah's race was a benchmark race in excitement against Catherine Garner - then just imagine how it's going to be if all races were that close! The Gymxtc final could be a re match?

Here is a brief follow up interview form Sarah

Sarah - Not may women take part in X Training - why do you think this is?

Firstly I don't think that cross training is publicised that well, I think it could be advertised more at gyms?!
And also cross training is a an extreme hobbie/sport and which requires mental and physical strength and plenty of time, you also need to be very disciplined and motivated.

Do you train with guys as much as girls?
I tend to train a couple of times a week with a friend Jo Holloway,i also train Mark Drury who is my Personal Trainer and Partner, and most Saturdays we tend to do a group training session which is good fun, its good to have a bit of variety in your training!

Would it be fair to say - you love the gym?
Oh Love is a strong word...... but I really do enjoy training at the gym, otherwise I wouldn't be doing what I do! I enjoy the training for competitions as it gives you a purpose, keeps me motivated and I enjoy seeing my progression throughout my training. But I also love to get outdoors and do some running, now summer is on its way I would like to take part in a few 10k races.
