One of the most heavily featured Gymathletes on this site is Amber Nelson and for a very good reason, she represents the gym member who loves to compete and challenge herself, to which gym's for some reason seem to overlook.
At any event Amber will always give a very brave 100% effort . A mother of four and married to Nelson, together they train and work out in prperation for the events that are held throughout the year - and thats what motivates her.
Whether its Tough Guy or the Gym Ironman, Amber will try and try to always do her best and she recieves this nomination with the respect of all that compete.

| What age did you start XTraining ? And who started you getting into the sport ? |
| Guess unlike most xtrainers, I didnt really do any sport until early thirties. Most of the time before that was spent in a place called The Castle, good times! Then I met Nelson (my husband now) he made me go out for a run with him and I had a nose bleed, hated running ever since! but then we joined David Lloyd at Basildon and I neded something to keep me motivated and train harder. |

| Who do you train with and do you push yourself? |
| Nelson and I started training together Ialso met Mikki skingsley,my training partner there. We done our first comp at netfit ,with Roscoe, and I was hooked. I love the training, we train with Nelson, Nik and Karen Kandola and Jason King and Phil Hylton. For that something extra in training I travel to Calso Gym in Kent with Mikki, where one of the top female X Trainers in the Country, Becky Nicholas pushes me to the limit and thats how i like to train. |

| What makes training there so good? |
| Becky is very clever and gets you doing things you never thought you could do. She pushes you and you gives you belief in yourself to do well. |
| What about Jason and Nik - whats it like training with them? |
| Greeat - we are really fortunate at David Lloyd to have two of the best X Trainers in the country there |
| Always 100% effort |

| You travel a lot to the events - what do you think of them? |
| The comps are great , Ive been doing X Training for a few years and I am only now getting to get over dealing with my nerves before a race. I love turning up and meeting so many like minded people - not necersarily the superfit but really nice and lovely like minded people, there is such a great bunch of characters. The top girls are really friendly will always come over and chat and offer advice. |

A family day out ? Alfie, Amber and Nelson! |
| Out of all the events which do you enjoy most? |
| My favourite comp has to be the Gym Ironman, justbecause for me, its the biggest challenge, so the pain after is even more worthwhile! |
| Putting training to good use and always remaing focused and motivated. |
| What have you achieved since X Training ? |
| In terms of trophies - they are few, but in terms of my fitness, I have never been fitter then I am now and it's definitely all down to X Training ! Without a doubt ive got a lot to be thankful for to xtraining, it got me fit. |
| What's next ? |
| Ive done all the comps this year and I did ,done the summer tough guy,and paid up for the winter one. Nelson and I are looking forward to taking on lots more mad challenges. And yes, it beats sitting in the Castle! |
