The most important of people who are at any event are not surprisingly the competitor, although they do carry a degree of significance. No, the most important people are the judges, time keepers, marshals, the friends, the family and some one to keep control on the day.Without them the race would not simply take place. They volunteer their services and to the best of their ability keep the racing as fair and strict as possible.
Here then is a thank you to those who performed and helped Ty make the event , the success it was.

| Stuart Leng |
Stuart Leng, organiser of the Ironman and competitor of many events, from the early days of Ultrafit to now, has been the voice of X Training at most of the established events. He controls the race schedule with almost military precision and always has keen eyes to see young talent come into the sport.
Stuart completes many race reports for the sport which are always informative and gives fair and just representation of the day.
The Gym Ironman will be held on the 21st Feb and WGC wishes him every success for it.

The race is only as good as the team behind it, registration admin and dealing with t- shirts along with many other issues to ensure smooth running from the Admin team. Pictred right from WGC, Jill Bellingham, who entered all the split timings for the day for each race. |

X Training is not only an incredible sport to train for, it also bonds unique people into a friendship that lasts forever. The people that do this sport are pioneering a future for generations to aspire to, and records are being broken at each new event. The standard of X Training is reaching new levels and the future X Trainer will be able to say - Today, I am the best all round Gymathlete in my gym and I have the times to prove it.
Here then are some pictures of the current X Trainers in the UK in a more relaxed state - later WGC will publish pictures , whilst racing, the serious business and that will be a little less comfortable !

Supporting one another
Another aspect of X Training apart from competing is the closeness of the sport and how it gels and in some cases bonds into a common purpose. Being cheered on by a loved one, is sometimes all the inspiration or motivation you need. |

The tale of a journey, starting off at the deep end Nick and Marco Crispini first taste of X Training was a real eye opener, both being slightly competitive and both having desire to push themselves, they completed the Hampshire with new found respect for the sport and determination to increase their times.
Chris Lord and Danny Watson are experienced X Trainers and are regulars at these events - they love the fitness challenge of it all and are each in their own right very accomplished at the sport of X Training.
Stacy Cross was a regular racer at Intermediate, this year to challenge himself even more he dived into the Open with great results and a real sesnse of achievement.
