Hi All

Many of you will know Craig from Manchester. He's been doing competitions for a couple of years now.   Craig is about to begin a sequence of four 'marathons' in four months. He begins with a 42k Concept 2 row on Saturday 24 January in Oldham High Street.

Concept II will kindly loan three machines, allowing another team from FF Gorton to undertake a relay marathon & members of the public to have a go as well.   Thereafter over the following two months Craig shall undertake similar challenges on a gym bike & a cross trainer & this sequence shall culminate in the FLM in April.

  All of this is in aid of Christies Hospital. This is a local but world reknown cancer treatment & research facility. Christies has been severely hit recently following the collapse of Icelandic banks in which it held funds. Therefore any / all donations / sponsorship would be gratefully received. Thanx for your support and the advertisement. We managed to raise £230.50 in the collection buckets on the day and with a further aprox £200 in sponsors it turned out quite well.

A Big thanx to Farouk and Penny for helping out on the day wit the collecting and relay team along with members of the public of OLDHAM also completed a marathon, also to Concept2 for the free loan of there machines and CHRISTIES as what this was all in aid of.

I completed it in 3 hours and 12 mins and felt rough straight after but wasnt aching as much as i thought i would have been.
