The first ever gym vs gym fitness challenge takes place at Fitness First Whitefield on 14th November 2009.
Only members from gyms and personal trainers who represent their gym can take part.
The close of the day will see the fittest gym end up victorious.
Entry Fee
£5.00 (Payable to your gym on the day or pre booked.
Teams
No event can have more then a maximum of 60 entrants.
Teams are structured in Teams of 20.
If a gym cannot make the maximum of 20 – they forfeit the race and another club may enter a member to gain points for their gym.
A Team may consist of both male and female members.
A Team can have a breakdown of any number of Club – Club Plus – Club Xtreme entrants – however any member from the Club X Treme category who does not complete the challenge within 20 min’s Male and 22 min’s female will not score points.
There will be a ten second buffer zone to compensate for judging error and 10th/sec split. The actual times for points to register will be 22 min’s 10 seconds Female and 20 min’s ten seconds
Judges and Time Keepers
Each club must supply 3 judges and 3 Time keepers
Each club must supply 3 x stop watches (most mobile phones have a stop watch)
A Time Keeper and 1 judge will follow you down the course
Clothing
Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn throughout the challenge.
Language
Inappropriate language – racial, sexual, swearing and abusive or threatening actions will not be tolerated. A judge has the right to recommend disqualification upon discretion and if repeated warnings are not adhered to. Any competitor that is disqualified will not qualify for points.

Note: If you enter the X Treme category and fail to finish within the permitted time of 22 min’s and 10 seconds Female and 20 min’s and 10 seconds Male – You will not receive any points – Please, Team Captains make sure that your members enter at the correct level.

Bonus Points
A Gym Instructor gains an extra 3 points
A Personal Trainer/HFM gains an extra 5 points.
The team with the most points win.
If it is a drawer the fastest Male Time wins (If that is a drawer) fastest Female Time wins.
Search Process
If you join the WGC website (free) you will be able to define the area in which you take part in the challenge. In this case Greater Manchester. In effect you will see who is the fastest in Greater Manchester and have your own leader board.

Click Region on the drop down menu for Region
Enter Greater Manchester
Click Search
If you have joined the site and registered the area you live in as Greater Manchester your name will be added to the above table.
