Welcome to the first ever Ultimate Gym Athlete event.
X Training has evolved into a complete new era. There is now a database to record EFR (Equal Fitness Racing)
When you check the race plan, you will notice the initials EFR and this result is based on a similar race and the result you achieved. Because of this all races at this stage should be well matched.
Of course when you return next year or increase your training, your personal trainer can verify your times and you can increase your rating.
As much as possible Equal Fitness Racing (EFR) plays a vital role ensuring that all races are a thrilling spectacle to the finale stage and to who wants it most on the treadmill.
The gym is also mentioned in the race line up, this is to show members what gyms are partaking in X Training events.
The race slots for this event are based on 20 min intervals, this should enable as much as possible for any gym member to support their friends and family all the way down the course. It should also make Judges have some time between events.
You will notice that there are few names on this sheet missing. Maybe yours? The Ultimate Gym Athlete is about taking part in a Gym Based Sport event. If you do not take part , then do not mock those that win - you chosen not to enter and are therefore a sideliner - someone who watches events. This is the Ultimate Gym Challenge and those that have entered deserve the highest respect.
This challenge can be adopted to any gym in the world - and the timings that are recorded here today give grading's to those that want to be considered for Elite or Advanced Status in the Official Ultimate Gym Athlete Challenge.
For those that achieve sub 15 min's male or sub 16 min's female - they will promoted into the Premier Fitness League (PFL)
The Course Record stands at 13:36 by Neil Cameron
Today , at Fitness First Chatham, under the scrutiny of experienced judges, the Official Course Record (OCR) will be made and be entered on to a annual shield.
The Official Course Record (OCR) will also take precedence over the On Line Challenge.
The first race commences at 10.00 am
There will be a mandatory Safety Brief at 0930 which all competitors must attend.
Good luck and thank you to those that have attended and supported this event and the best of luck to you in the toughest gym challenge in the world today.
