The sport of X Training continues to be at a X roads for development. Many events this year have got by just with minimal entries and some events have had to be cancelled. Traveling all over the UK to enter events that last just over twenty minutes is something of expensive pastime. But survive it has and I'm sure 2010 will be a far more positive year, with a new XTE, designed by Lloyd Millichap planned for for February (The Camberley Ice Breaker) and continuing new support from the Manchester gyms, a new horizon for the Team Gym Based Sports seems a very positive move forward.
Recent changes to the site have included an Easy Nav Homepage. This ensures that the primary role of WGC is not distracted from other web sites or Associations. The Aim of WGC has always been quite simple - keep the results for X Training Events (XTE's) under one roof. This makes searching splits and expected times of Elite Gym Athletes much easier to understand and the reason the site was developed in the first place.
The On Line booking system has also been looked into and is a welcome addition to bringing the sport in line with most major sporting events these days. Anticipated shortly will also be a charity section, so that you can more easily adapt a just cause for your events.
For those new to the sport and wondering just what are the benefits of X Training - it is hoped by reading the newsletters about the events that are emerging within the UK and worldwide ,that you will see the amazing levels of fitness that can be achieved from this sport for both men and women. By becoming a Gym Athlete every visit to the gym means you have the motivation to train harder- and each training session become more gym specific; each visit to the gym more worthwhile and the ability to train with a reason and pre set goals in mind... to become fitter, stronger and lose those few extra pounds.

The new direction for X Training by WGC is to concentrate and focus more on the individuals of gyms and gyms that take part in this sport. Gyms such as Camberley, Gorton and Rochdale Fitness First lead the way in promoting the benefits of X Training. They are without doubt the fittest clubs in the UK and are prepared to challenge other clubs in fitness challenges.
You will notice that the only Armed Service unit worldwide taking an active role in X Training is the Royal Marines - this is because these guys now a thing or two about physical fitness and are regarded as the fittest of all the Armed Services worldwide and that is why WGC supports this sport - to find the Ultimate Gym Athlete worldwide.

Two of the above are from the Royal Marines
