How long have you been doing X Training?

Two and a half years

Why do you find X Training so exiting?

It's more of a challenge then any individual event. It forces you to train at things you don't like and are not particularly good at. It's the complete body work out and gives you a greater all round fitness. It's very competitive.

Do you teach X Training to your clients?

I teach X Training to colleagues I work with at Shell.

What are their views on X Training?

Everyone who has been introduced to to the sport by me have become a convert. They absolutely love it and I've even convinced a few to partake in competitions with me.

Who has been your biggest influence on in X Training?

Howell Davies and Adam Hoarder from the Open category and Kirk Gibbons and Rob Volpe from the masters.

How often do you train?

Most days .Sometimes twice a day

What is your favourite exercise?

Shoulder press (resistance) and running (cardio)

What is your favourite food for training?

I don't really focus on nutrition, although I know I should

What is your ambition in X Training?

To win a competition in the masters category or at least get on the podium.

 

What exercise secret would you give to a new comer to X Training?

Train hard and push the boundaries, but ensure you get adequate rest for recovery.

Yes. Athletics

It depends, usually when my body tells me to.

What is the one sport you have taken part in but would have loved to excel in?

Boxing

5 a side football. Golf

I had to quit martial arts through injury. Not so many now Usually elbow injuries through over repping

Do you think the obesity problem in schools and the US can be controlled?

It can be controlled, but it is down to the government to ensure the correct nutrition for children. There must be more emphasis on physical activity and games. There should be a greater drive to get kids interested in sport.

What's the golden rule in weight management?

Eat healthily and don't crash diet. Have plenty of exercise.
